Authors of accepted papers may be invited to present their work at the annual symposium in March.
Deadline for Proposals
By February 1st, authors should submit brief proposal for their papers including the title and a short description of the topic(s) to be addressed. Proposals can be submitted via e-mail to the PSGSA by emailing Miranda at [email protected]
Keynote Panel
In this keynote panel, sponsored by the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (CCR2P), we invite abstracts related to R2P doctrine. Specifically, we invite the interested students to consider Canada’s renewed vision of peacekeeping. Other R2P related topics like, the 2011 intervention in Libya, the plight of record number of refugees around the world, the conflict in Syria, theories of sovereignty in the face of R2P are also welcome. One of the papers on this panel will receive a small award from CCR2P’s UofA chapter. If you would like to be considered for this award, please specify with your submission that you are applying for this panel.
Symposium
Successful papers will be presented at the PSGSA Annual Symposium on March 31st. We encourage all successful presenters to attend not only their panel, but as much of the symposium as their schedules permit.
The PSGSA looks forward to receiving proposals in response to the call, and is happy to respond to any questions.
